Born March 8th, 1980, Bryce Holt was raised in Overland Park, Kansas by his father and mother (Lirel and Sharon) and alongside his brother (Kyle Holt, Author of The Bible in Rhyme).

It was halfway through college at the University of Kansas when the fascination with the written word finally seized him. A professor of journalism pointed out that he had a magnificent skill with words, but the wrong mindset for creating news copy. This criticism led Bryce in 2001 to switch his major from Journalism to an English-Creative Writing degree. Like many novice writers, he began studying the classic method of creating short works of fiction, but quickly found the restraint and limitations of short fiction to be suffocating for his type of writing.

He returned to Overland Park in February, 2003 where he took a full time job, and was allowed to wedge in writing between assignments. There began Red School, and the powerful and provocative series that would follow.

Three years, 1,850 pages and over 400,000 words later, Bryce Holt had finished the first three novels in the Red School series (Red School, Little Island and Children of Moloch), and made assurances that, given time, there would be at least six more to follow.

Between 2006 and 2008, Bryce spent the majority of his efforts working with an upper echelon literary agent and top New York editor to hone the three existing novels to the best of quality. Throughout 2009, Bryce has been in the process of developing the published final copies of both Red School (released Oct., 2009) and Little Island (TBD, 2010), as well as developing the research for several possibilities for book 4 and 5 in the series.

Bryce Holt currently resides in Lenexa, Kansas, with his wife, Amanda, and is working on the fourth book in the Red School series.

The Bible in Rhyme is Kyle's first book, and he is already at work on additional literary and multimedia projects. Kyle is blessed by his beautiful wife, Kim, and their sons, Noah and Jonah.

Kyle Holt owns and operates a software development company in Overland Park, Kansas and writes faith-based and rhyming books, scripts, and blogs whenever possible.
